On February 15, 3e International School welcomed The Honorable Eddie Ng Hak-kim, Secretary for Education, HKSAR Government to tour the school and meet with the Principal and leadership team, teachers, students and parents. The visit, organized with the assistance of the External Liaison Section of the Education Bureau, assisted all involved to gain a greater understanding of the challenges, opportunities and best practices for Kindergarten education in China and Hong Kong.

On February 15, 3e International School welcomed The Honorable Eddie Ng Hak-kim, Secretary for Education, HKSAR Government, Mrs Marion Lai, Permanent Secretary for Education, HKSAR Government, and their team to tour the school and meet with the 3e Principal Mrs Amy Loveday-Hu, the leadership team, teachers, students and parents. The visitors received a briefing of the operating and regulatory environment of international schools in China and Beijing, and spent time in both English and Chinese Kindergarten classrooms. 3e’s dual immersion bilingual program was of particular interest to the Hong Kong Government visitors due to the comparisons between Hong Kong’s various “trilingual and bicultural” programs. The visit, organized with the assistance of the External Liaison Section of the Education Bureau, also assisted all involved to gain a greater understanding of the challenges, opportunities and best practices for Kindergarten education in Mainland China and Hong Kong. To culminate the visit, two 3e Hong Kong Kindergarten parents also joined the discussions, to share their personal experiences in relation to the Hong Kong and China education systems. The talks between all parties were warm and friendly, with the invitation extended for future learning collaborations.
