Educators from over 19 schools in Northern Italy gathered at ASM to participate in a dialogue about teaching and learning in International schools. Thanks to the support of the ASM Fund for Excellence, we hosted the 2017 Milan International Teachers Association (MITA) Conference at ASM in early February. MITA was founded by two ASM teachers as an opportunity to share ideas, learn new pedagogy, and connect with other educators from around Northern Italy.

This year, we were proud to welcome a diverse and talented group of presenters from nine different schools, who offered 35 sessions for the professional development of our local scholastic community. Over 19 schools sent teachers to ASM for professional learning. This year an ASM student was invited to give a keynote presentation on the importance of understanding the learning process of students with dyslexia. Other keynote presentations at the conference included: How Nintendo Helped Me Become a Better Teacher Keeping it Kind Multilingual Classroom Magic Creativity beyond curriculum Yoga for effective teaching and learning ASM continues to be a leader in education, both for our students and teachers.
