Brighton College Bangkok recently held a ‘Science Week’ for their Pre-Prep pupils, bringing this important subject to life in exciting and innovative ways

The scientific-based activities were designed to appeal to pupils from 2 to 9 years of age and included learning about sound waves, making balloon-powered cardboard cars, painting with magnets, programming Mars rover vehicles to collect space data and exploring the International Space Station via Virtual Reality. Parents were invited to take part in the showcase lessons, stimulating curiosity and innovate thinking in both the young and slightly older. These hands-on activities encouraged pupils to develop their questioning, problem-solving, collaboration and critical thinking skills, whilst also having fun.
