A group of Cranleigh Sixth Formers travelled to Abu Dhabi’s 'creative lab' in the City's media free zone this week to explore the facilities it has to offer teenagers in Abu Dhabi. 'creative lab' positions itself as: “the home for people interested in the creative industries…film, TV, publishing, music, gaming, animation or illustration,” and is a lively community hub for anyone hoping to expand their creative opportunities or explore career paths in this exciting field.

With a range of professional music, design and media production studios, 'creative lab' offers a forum for like-minded students and professional from across Abu Dhabi to work together on creative projects and encourages young people to get involved through internships, workshops, short courses or volunteering. As a result of the visit, three of our students returned this afternoon to work as volunteers at the creative lab open evening with young and aspiring professionals.
