Arabic Week at Cranleigh supports the Abu Dhabi’s government vision of enhancing the role of the Arabic language and national identity.

This year, Arabic Week coincided with the Abu Dhabi 2017 Campaign and the Abu Dhabi Book Fair aimed to enhance the Arabic language skills of students and raise their interest in the language both for native Arabic and non-Arabic speaking students. The various activities on offer included Arabic calligraphy, Arabic cupcakes, story elements, book breaks, logo designs, henna design and a parents’ competition with their children. Through our activities, we aim to inform students about the importance of mastering the Arabic language, the official language of the United Arab Emirates and a language of global importance.
