Cranleigh Enrichment Pupils exhibited their year-long investigative research projects in the Year 5 and 6 Scholars’ Showcase this evening. This programme highlights the academic best of Cranleigh, allowing gifted pupils to demonstrate their ingenuity and giving them an opportunity to explore a topic that fascinates them.

The theme this year was Innovation - how can we face the challenges of our time and what innovations can offer solutions? Research pupils pursued subjects from cloud seeding to the role of drones, from the colonisation of Mars to the preservation of elasmobranchs. Pupils' presentations included models they created, experiments they developed and expert interviews they conducted. Quite apart from the obvious intellectual, communication and critical thinking aspects of this programme, Cranleigh has given pupils an opportunity to build up a portfolio of work that represents the highest level of academic success and skills.
