Doha College, one of the oldest British schools in Qatar and home to students from 72 nationalities, celebrated British Day, a now annual tradition. Scheduled to complement this weekend’s celebration of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday by the British Embassy in the State of Qatar, the festivities focused on British achievers throughout the centuries, including Isaac Newton, Beatrix Potter, William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, The Beatles and Richard Branson.

Doha College student is officially on top of the World!

Doha College student, Jyothsna Prakash has outshone all other students receiving two awards for her A Level English Examinations. Jyothsna achieved the highest mark in the world for her English Language and the highest mark in Qatar for her English Literature. Jyothsna received these impressive accolades from Cambridge International Examination Board based on her results from her June 2016 A Level English examination results.

A whirlwind of colour and texture adorns The Bridge at the InterContinental Doha The City hotel; this unique artwork has been produced by talented Art students from Doha College. The exhibition showcases 20 pieces of original artwork from GCSE and A Level students. The pieces were chosen to represent the broad range of creative material produced by Doha College Art students, and they are the culmination of a four months’ project based on themes set by teachers and the Pearson examination board.

Award Ceremony 2016

Doha College is one of the oldest British curriculum schools in Qatar providing a world class education for 1800 students, between the ages of 3 and 18, who represent over 75 nationalities. Established in 1980, the college was proud to celebrate its pearl anniversary in 2010. Originally opened to meet the demand for a British-style education, the institution continues to operate under the sponsorship of the British Embassy on a not-for-profit basis.
