OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC SUCCESS REWARDED AT DOHA COLLEGE 2017 AWARDS CEREMONY

Over 200 students were recognised and rewarded for their academic excellence at Doha College’s annual Awards Ceremony at the Shangri-La Doha recently. The Awards Ceremony 2017 brought together secondary students, parents, staff, the Board of Governors and distinguished VIPs to celebrate the end of an outstanding year at Doha College. Doha College Principal, Dr Steffen Sommer, explained, “this year, Doha College has seen many firsts; the first school in MENA to be awarded a Green Eco School Flag, the first school to be awarded the COBIS Patron’s Accreditation in Qatar, and the first school to launch High Performance Learning. Our focus on this high performance pedagogy and our growth mindset approach to learning is evident across the whole school and is certainly reaping rewards within our academic attainment.” The Awards Ceremony recognises those students who are excelling in their subjects and year groups. The top prizes - Outstanding Student, the Walton Community Award and the Board of Governors Award were announced on the evening.
