Laude San Pedro International College celebrated its biggest and best ever charity gala on Friday 31st March. The annual gala is an important fundraising event on the Costa del Sol, raising thousands of euros for local and national charities.

The charity gala this year followed a Broadway theme, and showcased the creative talents of Laude’s pupils and other special performances from visiting acts. Over 500 people turned up to enjoy the show. Parents, teachers and members of the local community were treated to an action-packed evening of live music, dance performances, a fashion show, and a luxury charity auction. Special guests in attendance this year included British Consul Charmaine Arbouin, the VicePresident of the British Chamber of Commerce Derek Langley, representatives from sponsors and partners, and local celebrities such as Nicole King from Marbella TV. The evening ended with a fantastic performance by Magnet Man, a reggae band from Barbados. The event was sponsored by a number of companies, including El Corte Inglés and Hard Rock Cafe. This year all money raised will go to Aldeas Infantiles and Save the Children. Remedios López, Head of School, said: “It was a fantastic evening. It is always such a delight to open our doors to the local community and show them the work of our talented students. It is so satisfying to be able to support these two charities in this way.”
