The International School @ ParkCity

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

At The International School @ ParkCity we recognise the importance of educating the ‘whole’ person. It is too often the case that schools focus only on the academic side of a child’s development. We intend to do things differently and better.

Welcome

It is a privilege and a great honour to be the first Principal to lead this prestigious and unique school into an exciting and successful future. As Principal, my mission is to work with the community to provide high quality education, set high and achievable expectations, and create a safe school where every child is treated as an individual. School description

The International School @ ParkCity (ISP) opened in September 2011 and caters for children aged 3 to 18 from Nursery through to A Levels. Located in the highly acclaimed township of Desa ParkCity in Kuala Lumpur, ISP offers a challenging program of study, which is broadly based upon the English National Curriculum, while incorporating the flexibility to effectively respond to global change to an international setting. The younger children follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which creates a solid foundation for progression into the Secondary School, where the Cambridge IGCSE programme is adopted. In the Sixth Form @ ISP, all of our students study for the Cambridge AS and A levels across a broad range of subjects alongside the AQA Baccalaureate. The AQA Baccalaureate ensures that the students maintain a breadth to their knowledge and learning and provides the opportunity to be rewarded for community, conservation, personal and work-related learning through its enrichment scheme.

Sports and extra-curricular activities

Sports:

Sports is a vital ingredient in the ISP recipe for success, but why is it so important to us? Is it the fun? Is it the challenges thrown up? Is it the sportsmanship? Is it spending time with friends? Is it getting fitter, faster, stronger? Is it the teamwork? Is it the opportunity to be part of something special? At ISP, it is the fact that our students experience all of these and more. It's about taking pride in our efforts, and achieving beyond what we thought was possible.

Extra-curricular activities:

CCAs occur before, during and after school hours, allowing students to further their learning through sport, creative arts, academics and music. Examples of CCAs that we offer are: Drama, Swimming, Languages, T Ball, Art & Craft, Orchestra, Badminton, Football and ICT Skills.
