Growing up in a multilingual family can sometimes stretch the language capabilities of children. This workshop exercises how children learn in bilingual and multilingual settings. Identifying speech development delays and other language problem indicators. The discussion will include strategies to teach and reinforce positive language practices.
About the Presenter:
Mr Milind Sonawane, Speech-Language Pathologist and Beijing Therapy Director, LIH Olivia's Place. Mr Sonawane is a certified speech-language pathologist from Ireland. He has a Master’s degree in Audiology & Speech Therapy from India. He has worked in Asia and Europe and has a rich clinical and cultural understanding of how health care is delivered and managed across continents. He has worked in school, outpatient, and hospital settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and training for parents and professionals. His experience includes assessment and treatment of articulation, language, fluency and assistive communication.
