ACS DOHA STUDENT, JOSH JACOB, VISITS INDIA FOR THE QATAR CREATING VISION INITIATIVE
Joshua Jacobs, a well-known student at ACS Doha International School, with an adventurous streak, accompanied Orbis, the coordinating partner of Qatar Creating Vision, on a week-long trip to Pune, India this summer. This trip was an amazing and welcome opportunity for Josh and his group to learn more about Orbis’s fantastic work in India, and to see the positive, first-hand impact that Qatar Creating Vision has had on children in the area.
Orbis, pioneers in global eye health, work to give vision to those that don’t have it by utilising a combination of steadfast partnerships, boundary-pushing tools, techniques and training, to ultimately achieve optimal, quality eye health for all. This powerful new initiative is proudly supported by the Qatar Development Fund, who would like to encourage the youth of Doha to be active, get involved and help them in achieving their goal of providing 5.5 million eye screenings along with treatments to children in India and Bangladesh over the next four years.
