The annual Wai Kru ceremony is one of the highlights at the beginning of the school year at BISP. This year our students continued to make this ceremony special through a variety of amazing stage performances, including the beautiful classical Thai dance ‘Ram Chui Chai Phram’ at the opening
At the end of the ceremony, there was a Wai Kru chant and flower presentation, where students presented flower garlands to the teachers present. In return, the teachers gave them a blessing and wished them good luck for the coming academic year.
Besides celebrating Wai Kru in the ceremony, the Thai Department also cooperated with the English Department and the Modern Foreign Language Department to organise a poetry contest in order to give all students an opportunity to express their feeling and gratitude through poems in their own respective languages. They were all simply titled: ‘My Teachers’.
A big thank you to all BISP teachers and students for your contributions in this year’s Wai Kru.
Have a great school year and enjoy the winning poems.
