This term Year 9 pupils have been using their newfound understanding of Newton’s laws to carry out a rocket investigation.

For millennia, breaking the chains of gravity has been the dream of humankind and flightless birds alike. Now, finally after testing variables such as type of nose, number of fins, and weight of rocket, Cranleighans have soared ever closer to the abyss of empty space. There were whoops of joy as beautiful rockets blasted off, countered by only a few moments of deflation when a small number detonated on the launch pad. All worthy sacrifices in the ongoing quest for scientific advancement!
